Cees See (born January 5, 1934 in Amsterdam , † December 9, 1985 ) was a Dutch jazz drummer and percussionist.

Live and act

The autodidact first played with the Dutch band The Millers and with Jack Sels , Herman Schoonderwalt , Rob Madna , Pim Jacobs , Kenny Drew , Donald Byrd , Wolfgang Dauner , Dusko Goykovich and with Dick van der Capellen . He became known in the second half of the 1960s as a member of the Klaus Doldinger quartet . He then played in the New Jazz Trio of Manfred Schoof , but also took with Olaf Kübler and Volker Kriegel on. He founded his own percussionist quartet, was the first jazz drummer in the Netherlands to teach at a conservatory, and published the textbook "Das Schlagzeug im Jazz". In 1956 he was briefly married to the singer Corry Brokken .
