Celestino Rosatelli

Celestino Rosatelli (born April 8, 1885 in Belmonte in Sabina , † September 23, 1945 in Turin ) was an Italian aeronautical engineer.

Celestino Rosatelli was born in Belmonte in Sabina , near Rieti , to Bernardino Rosatelli and his wife Apollonia. The parents recognized his outstanding math skills and were able to support his studies. He then studied engineering in Rome and graduated in 1910. He then developed aircraft for Fiat in Turin.

Celestino developed the most successful aircraft of its time, such as Fiat CR.42 and Fiat BR.20 . The Fiat CR.1 biplane fighter was also developed by him. The designation CR are the first letters of his name.
