The Evangelical Erlöserkirche Verl is a hall church built in 1951 in the East Westphalian town of Verl in the Gütersloh district . The parish belongs to the Gütersloh parish within the Evangelical Church of Westphalia .
The church is located on Paul-Gerhardt-Straße in the center of Verl and was built after the Second World War due to the increased number of believers . At that time, numerous displaced persons and refugees from the eastern provinces of the former German Reich settled in Verl. Initially Verl was a parish of the Evangelical Church Community Friedrichsdorf , only in 1971 an independent parish was established.
The stained glass windows and a wooden altar were designed in 2009 by the artist Oswald Krause-Rischard.
The Church of the Resurrection in the Verler district of Sürenheide also belongs to the community .
