The Cellophane Suckers are a German garage - punk band from Cologne .

history

The punk'n'roll band Cellophane Suckers was founded in 1993 in Bergisch Gladbach . Three years later not only was the move to Cologne completed, the debut LP Burning Miss City was also released.

In the next few years, many national and international concerts followed with members of the scene such as Dumbell , The Moorat Fingers or Jet Bumpers . With the latter, the joint EP Let's Rock was released in 1997 . In 1998 the second album Hell Yeah! released. Joint concerts with genre greats such as Gluecifer and Hellacopters followed.

After the third album Too Much Temptation , the band took part (against the Backwood Creatures) in the TV total punk rock contest, in which they proved to be the winner.

Between 2004 and 2007 guitarist Moroder took a break, but released a single and an album with the band Damagers . During this period, the Cellophane Suckers continued with the guitarist Glen Ravioli (formerly with Dumbell, later with Black Sheriff) and released the album Can't Say No in 2004 . At the same time, the band was supported by Stefan Mohr on the organ, as can be heard on the 2008 album Bonjour Mon Capitain . Since 2009 the Cellophane Suckers have been back in their original five-man formation without an organist.

In 2010 the album One in a Zoo was released.
