Cem Yılmaz

Cem Yılmaz (born April 23, 1973 in Istanbul ) is a Turkish actor and comedian .

Life

As a student at the Bosphorus University , where Yılmaz studied tourism, he also worked as a caricaturist for LeMan magazine . In August 1995 he started stand-up there and switched to BKM ( Beşiktaş Kültür Merkezi ) in December . Since then he has performed there regularly and is occasionally on tour internationally.

He has a brother (Can Yılmaz) and a sister (Özge Yılmaz). His parents come from Sivas- Gürün .

Awards

  • He received the Kristal Elma for his work in commercials for Panasonic telephones on the radio.
  • He was awarded the Kristal Elma twice for his advertisement for Doritos Chips.

Movies

In 1998 Yılmaz stood in front of the camera for the first time in the film Herşey Çok Güzel Olacak (Everything will be very nice). Another supporting role followed in Vizontele . In 2005 he played the leading roles in the film GORA , for which he also wrote the script. This film was the most expensive and most successful film in Turkey to date and was only later surpassed commercially by the film Recep İvedik . In October 2006 his film Hokkabaz was released in German cinemas, for which he wrote the screenplay and, together with Ali Taner Baltacı, directed and played the leading role. On December 5, 2008, the GORA sequel AROG started in cinemas. Another film, the Western Yahşi Batı - The Ottoman Cowboys , was released on January 1, 2010. Here Cem Yilmaz plays an Ottoman envoy in the Wild West.
