The Centennial Peak (loosely translated: 100-year-tip ) is a 4070 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises 10.5 km south-southeast of Mount Wade in the Prince Olav Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own surveys and using aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1960 and 1965. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain in 1970 in memory of the centenary of Ohio State University , which has been since the 1960s plays a significant role in the exploration of Antarctica.
