The Turkish Cenup Demiryolları ( CD ; German Südbahn-Aktiengesellschaft ) was a railway infrastructure company from 1933 to 1948 for the section of the Baghdad Railway in Turkey between Çöbanbey and Nusaybin .
Emergence
After the section of the Baghdad Railway between Adana and Fevzipaşa was taken over by the Turkish state railway Türkiye Cumhuriyeti Devlet Demiryolları (TCDD), the legal predecessor, the French-Syrian Société d'Exploitation des Chemins de fer Bozanti - Alep - Nissibie et Prolongements, became effective on 1 Disbanded July 1933. It was replaced by the Turkish Südbahn-Aktiengesellschaft as the railway infrastructure company for the remaining route on Turkish territory between Çöbanbey and Nusaybin, an island operation .
The operator, i.e. the railway company , was also the French-Syrian company Société du Chemin de fer Damas – Hamah et Prolongements (DHP) on this route, which is located on Turkish territory .
The End
In 1948, at the end of its nationalization policy, the Turkish state also took over the last section of the Baghdad Railway on its territory to the border in Nusaybin . Ownership and operations were transferred to TCDD, and Südbahn-Aktiengesellschaft was liquidated.
