Şenyurt (Kurd. Dirbêsî ) is a Belediye in the district of Kızıltepe in the Turkish province of Mardin . Şenyurt is located directly on the Syrian border in southeastern Anatolia at 470 m above sea level, approx. 14 km south of Kızıltepe.
Immediately opposite Şenyurt is the small town of ad-Darbasiya ( Arabic الدرباسية). The original name of Şenyurt is also Derbesiye. The name was changed after 1960. The closure of the border in the 1980s led to an economic decline.
In 1990, 3385 people lived in Şenyurt. In 2009 the village had 1786 inhabitants. Şenyurt has a train station. This was a stop on the Baghdad Railway .
