Cephallodella is a genus from the tribe of rotifers (Rotatoria).
description
Depending on the species, the animals grow to be 80 to 450 µm long and lead a predatory way of life. Their armor consists of four to five plates, which are separated by grooves that serve as hinges. The toes are longer than the soft foot. The wheel organ is inclined and there is a tuft of rigid eyelashes around the mouth.
