Cephalodella forficula is a species of the genus Cephalodella from the tribe of the rotifers (Rotatoria).
description
The animals are 300 to 375 µm long and lead a predatory way of life. Its armor consists of four plates that are separated by longitudinal gaps that serve as hinges. Her thorn-equipped toes are 66 to 90 µm long. With these they build long, loose, brown tubes out of mud particles. Its wheel organ is inclined and there is a tuft of rigid eyelashes around the mouth. They have two forehead eyes with a common lens .
