Cesare Bastelli

Cesare Bastelli (born October 9, 1949 in Modena ) is an Italian director , production assistant and cameraman .

Life

Bastelli initially graduated in accounting and was part of an experimental theater group. Through his acquaintance with Lucio Dalla he got to know Pupi Avati and was employed in several of his films as assistant director or actor, soon also in these and other functions by other directors. In the mid-1980s he changed to the director's chair himself - the comedy Una domenica sì thrilled the critics, but was limited in its success due to poor distribution - and worked since 1989 as a director of medium-length films exclusively for television and edited numerous religious subjects; since the early 1990s he has also worked as a cameraman.
