The peculiarity of the hollow tree with supports , the trunk of which is partially covered with shingles , are the two small rooms that have been built on top of each other since 1696, of which the lower one is under the patronage ofNotre-Dame-de-la-Paix ” ( Our Dear Lady of Peace ) serves as a chapel , the upper one is designed as a hermit dwelling. There is a small altar in both rooms . Access is via a wooden staircase wound around the trunk.
