Chadashot ( Hebrew חדשות"Nachrichten") was an Israeli daily newspaper .

history

Hadashot was founded by journalists who worked at Galei Zahal during the Yom Kippur War .

Chadashot reported on the hijacking of the 300 bus from Tel Aviv to Ashkelon. As a result, the production of the newspaper from April 29 to May 1, 1984 was stopped by the military censor. In 1993 a court ruled that the censorship was unfounded.

Hadashot initially gave himself a young, left-wing, establishment-critical image, was written in Hebrew for young people with borrowings from slang. The image later became conservative and the editions remained low.

Chadaschot and Jedi'ot Acharonot competed in the advertising and recipient segment of evening newspapers . On November 29, 1993, Amos Schocken reported a peaked loss of around USD 20 million and announced the closure of the newspaper.

The tabloid (430 × 280 mm) newspaper format was paper printed in color, the color of which varied from yellow to light brown.

Amnon Dankner, Dudu Gevaals worked for Chadaschot as a carton maker, Dahn Ben-Amotz , Irit Linur and Alex Levac as a photo journalist.
