Chain Lakes Bridge

The Chain Lakes Bridge is a historic former road bridge (style: pinned Pratt through truss ), now only a pedestrian bridge , not far from Hiawatha in Linn County in the state of Iowa in the United States . It spans the Cedar River and is right on the Hanging Bog State Preserve . The bridge, which is well preserved to this day, was built by the Wrought Iron Bridge Company around 1884 .

The foundation is made of stone , the bridge itself is made of cast iron . The periods of significance are defined by the NRHP as 1875–1899.

The Chain Lakes Bridge was listed on May 15, 1998 on the National Register of Historic Places with the number 98000529.
