Chamen is a town in the West African state of Gambia .

According to a calculation for 2013, there are around 810 inhabitants, the result of the last published census from 1993 was 547.

geography

Chamen, in the North Bank Region in Lower Niumi District , is on the north bank of the Gambia River . The place is about ten kilometers northeast of Berending on North Bank Road .
