The Champagne is located in the middle of the urban settlement area in the plain created by the river Schüss and is therefore largely flat. The quarter borders in the north, starting clockwise, with the Rebbergquartier , Bözingen , Mett , Madretsch Nord and Neustadt Süd .

economy

The production plant and the headquarters of the Omega watch brand and the Mido watch company are located in this quarter .

Infrastructure

Since 1913, the Gurzelen football stadium , where FC Biel-Bienne plays, has been largely unchanged in the Champagne district, with a seating capacity of 15,000 .
