Chancellor is located in southeast Alabama in the southern United States. It is located approximately 20 kilometers north of the Florida border .

Nearby locations include Coffee Springs (2 km southwest), Enterprise (11 km north), Geneva (11 km south), High Bluff (13 km east), Clayhatchee (14 km northeast). The next larger city is the capital of Alabama, Montgomery, about 125 kilometers to the north with 205,000 inhabitants .

history

The place was named after the early settler Wiley Chancellor. In 1900 a post office was opened.
