Chang ( Dzongkha : ལྕང་ ) is one of eight Gewogs (blocks) of the Dzongkhag Thimphu in western Bhutan . Chang Gewog is in turn divided into five Chiwogs (constituencies). According to the 2005 census, 3137 people live in this weight on an area of 196 km² in 722 households in ten villages. The Gewog extends over altitudes from 2320 to 4278 m .
With the exception of a few villages on the southern border of the Gewog, the Gewog falls under the jurisdiction of the Thimphu City Council . In Chiwog Yoedselpang there is an office for the development of renewable natural resources ( RNR, Renewable Natural Resource center ) and a primary school ( CPS, Community Primary School ) in Chiwog Lhoongtsho. There is also a sawmill and a milk collection point.
