Changling Mausoleum (Han Gaozu)
The Changling Mausoleum (also Changling ) ( Chinese 长陵 , Pinyin Changling ) is the tomb of the Han emperor Gao Zu (Liu Bang) of the Western Han Dynasty , who lived from 206 to 195 BC. Ruled. It belongs to the " Five Mausoleums " (wǔlíng 五 陵) of the Western Han Dynasty (Xi Han wuling 西汉 五 陵).
The grave is located 30 km from the provincial capital of Xi'an in the village Hanling the greater community Yaodian in the district Weicheng the prefecture-level city Xianyang province Shaanxi in the People's Republic of China . It is located near the airport expressway in the Jing and Wei River Delta .
The tomb is in the shape of a pyramid with a height of 31.94 meters and a square plan with a circumference of 600 meters. In the immediate vicinity is the grave of Empress Lu to the east. The entire tomb has an extension of 1,000 meters from north to south and 900 meters from east to west. The grave was surrounded by a 3 meter high and 6 meter thick wall made of rammed earth, only parts of which have survived. 63 subsidiary graves are located to the east over a distance of up to 7.5 km, including the graves of Xiao He, Cao Shen and Zhou Bo.
The Changling Mausoleum ( Changling ) has been on the list of monuments of the People's Republic of China (3-233) since 1988 .
