Chappell Peak is a 1,860 m high mountain in the southwest of the Enterprise Hills in West Antarctica . It is located at the northern end of the Horseshoe Valley , about 6 kilometers south of Schoeck Peak and a few kilometers southeast of Guarcello Peak .
The mountain was mapped as part of the Enterprise Hills survey in 1961-66 through field surveys and aerial photography by the United States Navy . It was named by the Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names after Richard L. Chappell, who worked as a research assistant on the American Antarctic station Little America V in 1957 .
