Charles Deutsch (born September 6, 1911 in Champigny (Marne) ; † December 6, 1980 in Paris ) was a French racing driver , aerodynamics engineer and automobile designer who founded the “ DB ” brand together with René Bonnet . Later he also manufactured cars under the label "CD".

Career

German studied at the École polytechnique in Palaiseau and received his doctorate in 1931. From 1936 to 1962 he worked with Bonnet. After separating from Bonnet, he founded the company "SERA", an engineering company for the development of automobiles. Robert Choulet was the most famous student of Charles Deutsch.
