Charles Gordon (film producer)
Charles Andrew Gordon (born May 13, 1947 in Belzoni , Mississippi ) is an American film producer and younger brother of the film producer Lawrence Gordon .
Life
Charles Andrew Gordon began his career as a film agent and tried his hand at screenwriting and television production. He wrote five different series concepts, three of which went into production in the early 1980s. He then became a film producer and, together with his older brother Lawrence Gordon , was able to produce such successful films as Die Hard 2 , Waterworld and Hitman - Everyone dies alone . He received an Oscar nomination for Best Picture in 1990 for the drama Field of Dreams .
Since 1970 Charles Gordon has been married to the casting director Lynda Gordon, with whom he has three daughters, one of whom is the film producer Kate Gordon.
