Charles Horton Peck
Charles Horton Peck (born March 30, 1833 in Sand Lake , Rensselaer County , New York , † July 11, 1917 in Albany , New York) was a recognized American mycologist of the 19th and early 20th centuries. From 1867 to 1915 he was a "New York State Botanist". During this time he described over 2,700 North American mushroom species.
