Charles McBurney (politician)
Charles W. McBurney Jr. (born June 6, 1957 in Orlando , Florida ) is an American politician ( Republican Party ).
McBurney studied at the University of Florida , where he received a Bachelor of Arts in 1979 and a Juris Doctor in 1982 . He then worked as a lawyer in Jacksonville .
In 2000 he ran unsuccessfully for a seat in the Florida House of Representatives . On September 18, 2007, he was elected to the Florida House of Representatives in a by-election. He was re-elected in the next regular election in 2008, as well as in the subsequent elections in 2010 and 2012.
McBurney is married and has two stepdaughters . The politician William V. Chappell is his stepfather .
