Charles Montier
Charles Pierre Elie Montier (born June 28, 1879 in Naples , † June 1952 in Paris ) was a French racing driver and vehicle designer.
Racing driver and designer
Charles Montier worked as a vehicle designer before the First World War and worked for Darracq , among others . He also built small cars under the name Charles Montier et Cie . In the 1920s, he became Ford representatives in France and developed in his company Charles Montier et Cie vehicles under their own brand name based Ford Model T and Model A were.
Montier was already active as a racing driver in the 1910s when he competed in the French Grand Prix in a Ford-Montier 6CV in 1912 . Together with his brother-in-law Albert Ouriou , he competed in the first Le Mans 24-hour race in motorsport history in 1923 and came in 14th overall.
