Roberto Kinsky
Roberto Kinsky (actually Robert Kinsky , born August 17, 1910 in Budapest , † September 15, 1977 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine conductor .
Kinsky was a student of Zoltán Kodály . After completing his studies, he worked as a deputy conductor and répétiteur at the Semperoper before he went to Buenos Aires with Fritz Busch in 1933 , where he took over the direction of the orchestra of the Teatro Colón . Here he led u. a. Igor Stravinsky's Jeu de cartes and Orpheus , Arnold Schönberg's expectation , Mozart's Così fan tutte , Modest Mussorgski's Boris Godunow , Beethoven's Missa solemnis and, assisted by Fritz Busch, Richard Wagner's Götterdämmerung in 1943 . In 1949 he founded the Orquesta Sinfónica del Estado (today Sinfonica Nacional ) and directed its opening concert. He conducted concerts with the singers Kirsten Flagstad (1946) and Birgit Nilsson (1956).
