Charles Munich

François-Charles Munchen , other spelling Carl Munich , (born September 4, 1813 in Echternach ; † January 4, 1882 ibid) was a Luxembourg lawyer and politician .

Life

Munchen studied law at the universities of Liège , Heidelberg and Berlin . During this time he became a member of the Corps Hanseatia Heidelberg in 1834 . From 1839 he was a Freemason in the Luxembourg Lodge Les Enfans de la Concorde Fortifiée

After completing his studies, he became a lawyer in Luxembourg and later a member of the State Council there. In 1848/49 he was a member of the Frankfurt National Assembly for the Luxembourg-Limburg constituency , where he belonged to the national liberal casino parliamentary group.

He fought for four great ideals and their unification: the defense of law, the right of the citizen in court, the right of the state in the Council of State and the right of humanity in the Masonic lodges.
