Charles Myr Lesaar

Charles Myr Lesaar (born October 14, 1884 in Brasschaat , Belgium , † September 5, 1941 in Ephraim (Wisconsin) , USA by suicide ) was a Belgian artist who mainly painted landscapes.

Life

Lesaar studied art in Düsseldorf , Antwerp - Brasschaat and Brussels . In 1907 he took part in the Exposition des Beaux Arts in Brussels and in 1908 in an exhibition in Antwerp. In 1913 he emigrated to America, where he had various exhibitions in the following years. In 1999 some of his works were auctioned at Sotheby’s in Amsterdam.
