Charles Yeater

Charles Emmet Yeater (* 1861 in Sedalia , Missouri , † July 1943 in Sedalia, Missouri) was an American politician and Governor General of the Philippines .

In 1892 he became a member of the Missouri State Senate for the Democratic Party , where he represented the 15th constituency. From 1909 to 1915, Yeater was a member of the Board of Trustees of the University of Missouri .

On March 5, 1921, he succeeded Francis Burton Harrison as acting governor general of the Philippines as Lieutenant Governor. He held this office until Leonard Wood took office on October 15, 1921.

In 1928 he represented the Philippines at the National Convention of the Democratic Party for the establishment of the presidential candidate.
