Charley's Grilled Subs is a fast-food chain with 312 branches in 39 states in the US and 10 countries, including Japan , United Arab Emirates , Venezuela , South Korea and Guam . There is also a branch on the premises of the Böblingen tank barracks , where the US Army is stationed.
Known as Charley's Steakery, it was founded on the Ohio State University campus in Columbus in 1986 . Charley's specializes in freshly grilled sandwiches and wraps . The chain features subs like the Philly Cheesesteak , the Chicken Teriyaki, the Buffalo Chicken and the Deli Fare. Charley's also offers soups and salads and is famous for its sodas.
Charley's Grilled Subs branches were traditionally set up in shopping centers or airports, but now there are also some free-standing branches.
