Charlotte Valandrey
Charlotte Valandrey (born November 29, 1968 in Paris ; actually Anne-Charlotte Pascal ) is a French actress . Most recently she has come to the fore through her autobiographies and her heart disease.
Life
Charlotte Valandrey grew up in the Breton region of Val-André , where she moved when she was six. Her stage name Valandrey is a reference to this place.
Her acting talent was rewarded as early as 1986: for her role "Nadja" in Véra Belmont's political drama Red Kisses , Charlotte Valandrey was nominated for the César in Cannes and won the Silver Bear at the Berlinale .
In 1987, at the age of 18, she tested positive for HIV . For this reason, she was rejected a short time later for the lead role in Noce Blanche (directed by Jean-Claude Brisseau ), which then played Vanessa Paradis . From 1991 to 2000, Charlotte Valandrey starred in the popular France TV series Les Cordier, juge et flic .
In 2001 their daughter Tara was born and tested negative for HIV. The actress, who suffered from a weak heart because of her essential medication, underwent a heart transplant in 2003 after two heart attacks . Two years later she published the autobiography L'Amour dans le sang , in which she went public for the first time with her illness. The book became a bestseller and after a long time brought Charlotte Valandrey back into the focus of the media. In 2007 the book was filmed with Charlotte Valandrey in the lead role.
In 2011 she published her second autobiography, which was an even bigger success than the first with over 300,000 copies sold. My Stranger's Heart stayed number 1 on the French bestseller list for weeks and has since been translated into ten languages. Charlotte Valandrey describes her love story with the man who was once in a relationship with the woman whose heart was given to her through the heart transplant.
