Charter Oak State College

The Charter Oak State College is a state university in New Britain in the center of the US state of Connecticut . Currently 1,900 students are enrolled in the so-called Liberal Arts College . It was founded in 1973 to offer distance learning to students. The courses are now also carried out online and via video transmission. Located across from Central Connecticut State University, the college was named after Charter Oak , a well-known and unusually large Connecticut white oak .
