Mallentin Chausseehaus
The former Chausseehaus , also known as the road keeper's house, is a listed building in Mallentin (municipality of Stepenitztal ), in the district of Northwest Mecklenburg ( Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania ).
History and architecture
The small single-storey building under a gable roof was built in brick in 1842 as a chausseehaus . A three-sided porch was built in the middle of the street front to collect the toll . The building is a significant individual monument in terms of traffic history; it is located on today's federal highway 105, about halfway between the towns of Dassow and Grevesmühlen .
