Chełm Dolny ( German Wartenberg ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . It belongs to the Powiat Gryfiński ( Greifenhagen district ) and the Trzcińsko-Zdrój (Bad Schönfließ) municipality .

history

The place is best known for the Wartenberg estate, which belonged to the Henning von Tresckow family. Here he was initially buried in the family crypt. In 1939 the place had 203 inhabitants. In the village there is the “Heiliges Herz” church, a stone church from the 13th century. The cemetery was destroyed. Some old tombstones were put back in the form of a lapidarium .
