Cheick Kongo (born May 17, 1975 ; full name Cheick Guillaume Ouedraogo ) is a French mixed martial arts fighter .

Congo started his MMA career in June 2001 at a rings event in the Netherlands . After further fights at Rings , It's Showtime and King of the Ring , he made his debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship in July 2006 . After three wins and one loss, he defeated Mirko Filipović at UFC 75 in September 2007 . His MMA record was on October 16, 2010, after a total of twelve UFC fights, 15 wins, six losses and two draws. Among them were wins against Mirko Filipović and Antoni Hardonk and losses against Cain Velasquez and Frank Mir . Congo lives in Paris.
