Mark Richard Hunt (born March 23, 1974 in Auckland , New Zealand ) is a New Zealand mixed martial arts fighter of Samoan descent. He currently lives in Sydney and fights in the Ultimate Fighting Championship . He also played two professional boxing fights and numerous fights in K-1 , where he also won several international titles. Before he fought in today's largest MMA organization, the UFC , he was active in the Japanese MMA organizations DREAM and PRIDE FC and was part of the purchase agreement when Zuffa , the rights holder of the UFC, bought PRIDE FC in April 2007 .
