The Chele Arena ( Georgian ჩელე არენა ) is a football stadium in the Georgian city of Kobuleti , Autonomous Republic of Adjara . It is the home ground of the soccer clubs FC Schukura Kobuleti and FC Dinamo Batumi . The facility, opened in 1967, directly on the eastern Black Sea coast , offers 6000 seats in the main and opposite stands. It has a no longer usable athletics facility . There is no floodlight system. The stadium has been named after the football player Revas Tschelebadze since 2012 . The striker became Soviet champions with Dinamo Tiflis in 1978 , and Soviet cup winners in 1976 and 1979 . In 1980 he won bronze with the Soviet Union at the Summer Olympics in Moscow . Previously it was called Tsentraluri stadioni Kobuleti ( German Zentralstadion Kobuleti ). After the Batumi Central Stadium was closed, FC Dinamo Batumi had to move to Kobuleti, around 30 kilometers away, for its home games. In 2012 the stadium was renovated (including new plastic seats and an artificial turf pitch ). After the opening of the Batumi Stadium , which will be completed in 2020 , Dinamo Batumi will return to Batumi.
