The Central Stadium Batumi ( Georgian ცენტრალური სტადიონი (ბათუმი) ) was a football stadium with an athletics facility in the Georgian port city of Batumi , Autonomous Republic of Adjara . The facility on the Black Sea was opened in 1925 and was the home ground of the FC Dinamo Batumi football club until it was demolished in 2006 . It originally offered 18,600 seats. In 2002 the space available was reduced by the demolition of two thirds of the grandstands to 4,000 visitors. Instead of the tiers, a concert stage was built. The playing area consisted of natural grass .
FC Dinamo Batumi played in the Chele Arena in Kobuleti after the demolition . After long delays, the Batumi Stadium , the new home of FC Dinamo, with 20,035 seats was completed in 2020 .
