The Chelen Glacier (or Kehlen Glacier) is a valley glacier in the Urner Alps , in the canton of Uri in Switzerland . It is 2.6 km long and has an area of 3.15 km².

It is being built on the east face of the Mittler Tierberg at an altitude of 3311 meters. Between the Mittler Tierberg and the Gwächtenhorn (3420 m) it is connected to the Steingletscher in the north via the Chelenlücke at 3202 meters . From there it flows in an almost southerly direction along the east face of the Hinter Tierberg (3447 m). This rear part is also called the Chelenfirn. Another arm flows from the northern Maasplanggjoch from almost a westerly direction from a height of about 3100 meters. It then flows in a south-easterly direction into the Chelenalptal down to about 2200 meters. The Chelen Glacier drains over the Chelenreuss into the Göscheneralpsee .

The Maasplanggfirn and the Rotfirn are located on the southern slope of the Chelenalptal , but both are not or no longer connected to the Chelen glacier.

The Chelenalphütte of the Swiss Alpine Club SAC is located on the northern slope of the Chelenalptal at the end of the Chelen glacier at 2350 meters .
