Chemie Schwarzheide was founded in 1937 in the Third Reich as a BRABAG works team under the name BRABAG Schwarzheide . In terms of sport, the team played no role in higher-class football until 1945. In contrast to other large works associations such as BEWAG Berlin , no participation in the Gauliga Berlin-Brandenburg was successful .

In 1945 the association was dissolved and re-established as SG Schwarzheide . In 1950, the Schwarzheide synthesis plant became a sponsoring company and the company sports association subsequently functioned as BSG Chemie Schwarzheide . On a sporting level, Chemie Schwarzheide was a founding member of the third-class district league Cottbus from 1952 . The district league initially denied Schwarzheide with consistently leading positions in the table, but failed due to the possible rise to the GDR league at Chemie Weißwasser , progress Cottbus and Lok Cottbus . In 1957 the Lusatians rose to the newly founded third-class II. GDR League , which the Brandenburgers held until 1960. In 1961, after the playoff against the second representation of Vorwärts Cottbus, the return was made. Due to the dissolution of the Second GDR League in 1963, the BSG was downgraded back to the district league area.

The Cottbus District League held the chemistry until 1972, after which the BSG sank into the insignificance of GDR football. In 1990 the association appeared as SG Chemie Schwarzheide . In 1994, the football department broke away and since then has been running as FSV Grün-Weiß Schwarzheide based on the traditional chemistry club colors . In March 2010 it was decided to rename it again to BSG Chemie Schwarzheide , which officially took place in July 2010. In summer 2012 they celebrated the promotion to the national class south . In the meantime, however, they play in the lower regional league .
