Chemkon

Chemkon (proper spelling in capital letters ), and chemical concretely, is the member magazine of the Department of Chemistry Teaching (FGCU) of the German Chemical Society ( GDCh ). The journal is published both online ( ISSN  1521-3730 ) and in a print version ( ISSN  0944-5846 ). From 1993 to 2004 Walter Jansen , who is also a founding member, was the responsible editor. Editor-in-chief was Ilka Parchmann until December 2017 . Since January 2018 the editors-in-chief has been Marco Oetken ( PH Freiburg ) and Matthias Ducci ( PH Karlsruhe ) together with Arnim Lühken ( University of Frankfurt ). Some articles are only available to members or against payment ( Paywall ), others are freely accessible ( Open Access ), e.g. B. the tasks for schoolchildren.

The journal has been peer-reviewed and was founded in 1993 from the information sheet of the chemistry teaching group of the GDCh.

The magazine is published by Wiley / VCH , since January 2018 in four print editions and eight online editions per year. The four additional online editions are primarily intended to deal with topics from upper secondary level.
