Chen Guang (born February 3, 1995 in Changchun ) is a Chinese short tracker .

Career

Chen had his first international success at the 2012 Junior World Championships in Melbourne . There he won the silver medal with the relay over 3000 m. Two years later he won the gold medal in the 3000 m relay at the Junior World Championships in Erzurum . He made his debut in the World Cup in Shanghai in December 2014 , finishing sixth in the 500 m. At the Winter Universiade 2015 in Granada he won the bronze medal in the 500m, 1000m and 1500m and the gold medal with the relay over 5000m. At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he won his first World Cup victory with the 5000 m relay at the World Cup in Montreal . In the further course of the season he won third place with the relay in Toronto and third place over 500 m and second place with the relay in Nagoya . At the 2017 Winter Universiade in Almaty , he took 14th place over 1000 m and seventh place over 500 m. With the relay he won the gold medal there.
