Chen Szu-Yu ( Chinese陈思 组; Pinyin Chén Síyú ; born August 1, 1993 in Taipei ) is a Taiwanese table tennis player . She took part in the Olympic Games twice.

Career

The Taiwanese performed internationally for the first time in 2008. At that time she reached the quarter-finals in doubles at the World Youth Championship with Cheng-I-Ching . Further appearances followed in 2010 when she and the team reached the second round at the World Cup for adults. At the Youth World Cup, she was able to reach the quarter-finals in doubles again in 2008, as before.

In 2011 she was able to win bronze at the youth world championships with Cheng-I-Ching, at the world championships in Rotterdam Chen failed directly in the first round, in doubles she was able to reach the second round.

In 2012 she qualified for an internal qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games in London to qualify, where she reached the third round. At the Team World Cup, she reached the round of 16 with the team.

In 2013, Chen took part in the World Championships in Paris and was among the top 32 in doubles, and it was the second round in singles and mixed.

In 2014, the Taiwanese team was able to achieve ninth place at the World Cup , due to good performance they were able to qualify for the 2016 Olympic Games in advance , but failed there in the second round against Kim Song-i . She was ninth with the team. At the world championship she was able to win bronze with the team.

In 2017 she made further appearances with Cheng-I-Ching, reaching the quarter-finals of the World Tour Grand Finals. At the World Cup she took part in mixed with Chuang Chih-Yuan , where the duo came under the best 16.

At the 2018 World Cup, she came back to ninth place with the team.
