Chermayeff & Geismar & Haviv is an American graphic and communication design company based in New York City . Founded in 1957 by Yale alumni Ivan Chermayeff and Tom Geismar, the office developed some of the world's most iconic logos for businesses and other organizations. Chermayeff and Geismar's customers included Pan Am , Mobil Oil , Chase Manhattan and Xerox .

The two founders were awarded the AIGA Medal by the American Institute of Graphic Arts in 1979 . In October 2014 they received the National Design Award from the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum for Lifetime Achievement. In 2006 Sagi Haviv became a third partner in the company. Ivan Chermayeff died on December 3, 2017 at the age of 85.
