Chic Cicero (2012)

Charles "Chic" Cicero (* 1936 in Buffalo , New York ) is an American occultist and author. He has been practicing ceremonial magic for over 40 years.

Cicero's interest in Freemasonry and the Western Mystery Tradition resulted in research articles on Rosicrucianism and the Knights Templar published in publications such as Ars Quatuor Coronatorum and 1996-2000 Transactions of the Metropolitan College of the SRIA . Cicero is a member of several Masons, Martinists , and Rosicrucian organizations. Chic is a very active member of its local York Rite and Grand York Rite Masonic Fraternities.

Israel Regardie and the Golden Dawn

According to published accounts, Cicero was also a close friend and personal confidante of the later Dr. Israel Regardie . In building a temple in the tradition of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn in 1977, Cicero was a key figure who helped Regardie create a legitimate initiatory offshoot of the Order (also known as HOGD) in the United States in the early 1980s. Years to revive. A number of letters Regardie wrote to Chic Cicero and the Temple of Isis-Urania are available online. Chic is also President of The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, Inc.

Cicero and his wife Sandra Tabatha Cicero are both two GH Chiefs of today's order. They have published several books on Golden Dawn, Tarot , Kabbalah , and the Western Mystery Tradition - including Essential Golden Dawn , which won a 2004 COVR Award for being one of the best magic books of the year.

The Ciceros have also edited new editions of Israel Regardie's classic texts, adding notes and adding new material: The Middle Pillar , A Garden of Pomegranates , and The Tree of Life .

The Ciceros gave interviews at a local TV station in Albuquerque, New Mexico . They were also interviewed by Donald Michael Kraig on Fate Radio (December 26, 1990), and more recently by Rain Morgan and Carolyn Craft of the Wisdom Radio Network , Uri Geller's radio show on Talk America (Spring 2001) and MSN's Mind, Body, and Soul Network (August 2002). You are a frequent speaker in the United States, Canada, and Europe .

According to Golden Dawn historian RA Gilbert:

"Just as Israel Regardie rescued the Golden Dawn from oblivion, so have the Ciceros, with their unrivaled grasp of magical practice, maintained it as a living tradition made available to all ... They are indeed true magicians of the Golden Dawn."

"Just as Israel Regardie saved the Golden Dawn from oblivion, so the Cieros, with their incomparable understanding of magical practice, preserved it as a living tradition and made it accessible to everyone ... They are indeed true magicians of the Golden Dawn."
