Chika Amalaha

Chika Joy Amalaha (born October 28, 1997 in Rivers ) is a Nigerian weightlifter .

Career

She won gold at the 2013 Commonwealth Junior Championships and the 2014 African Youth Championships. When she was only 16, she won gold at the 2014 Commonwealth Games in the class up to 53 kg body weight. However, during the doping control she tested positive for the diuretics amiloride and hydrochlorothiazide and was disqualified. The International Weightlifting Federation banned her for two years until July 25, 2016.
