The Childs Glacier is a large glacier in the West Antarctic Queen Elizabeth Land . In the Neptune Range of the Pensacola Mountains, it flows west from the Roderick Valley to the Foundation Ice Stream .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own surveys and with the help of aerial photographs by the United States Navy from 1956 to 1966. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after John H. Childs, construction worker at Ellsworth Station in the Antarctic winter 1958.
