China Open 2010 (tennis)

The China Open 2010 took place in Beijing from October 4th to 10th, 2010 . For the men they were part of the ATP World Tour 500 , for the women it was a WTA Premier Mandatory tournament.

In the individual competitions, the Serb Novak Đoković and the Russian Swetlana Kuznetsova competed to defend their titles. While the Serb managed to defend the title, the Russian failed in the first round. The victory in the women's singles went to the Dane Caroline Wozniacki , who was also able to take the top of the world rankings for the first time .

The US twins Bob and Mike Bryan were able to defend their double title in the men's category. The defending champions Hsieh Su-wei and Peng Shuai no longer competed as a team and only Peng Shuai competed with another partner. You failed in the round of 16. The women's double title went to Chuang Chia-jung and Wolha Hawarzowa .
