The Chistochina Glacier is a valley glacier in the northern Alaska range in Alaska ( USA ).
The Chistochina Glacier has its nutrient area at an altitude of about 2200 m on the southwest flank of Mount Kimball . The Chistochina Glacier flows 5.8 km in a south-westerly direction. At an altitude of 1500 m , it splits into a western and an eastern glacier tongue .
The 1.1 km wide western glacier tongue is 4.9 km long and ends at an altitude of 1200 m . It feeds the Chistochina River .
The eastern tongue of the glacier flows 4.2 km to the southeast and also ends at an altitude of around 1200 m . The 1.2 km wide glacier tongue feeds the Middle Fork Chistochina River , a left tributary of the Chistochina River. Both glacier tongues are in retreat.
