Cho Min-soo (born January 29, 1965 in Seoul ) is a South Korean actress . She is best known for her role in the award-winning film Pieta (2012) by Kim Ki-duk .

Life

In 1986 Cho Min-soo starred in a film for the first time. From then on, she received numerous roles in South Korean television series. For her roles in Mount Jiri (1987) and Wang Rung's Family (1989), she received the KBS Drama Award in the best actress category. She later gained popularity through her roles in Sandglass (1995) and Piano (2001). After her marriage in 2005 she took a break from acting until 2009 with the SBS - Miniseries Will It Snow for Christmas? returned.

She achieved international fame through her role in Kim Ki-duk's Pieta, for which she received the Blue Dragon Award and the Korean Association of Film Critics Award in the best actress category.
